Xiu Xuefeng introduced that the development of China's compound fertilizer industry has gone through a difficult process from imitating foreign products, digesting and absorbing them, and then leading innovation. The widespread application of compound fertilizers has played a unique role in meeting the needs of balanced fertilization in agricultural production and the creation of efficient fertilizers. Especially, the innovation of business models has driven the transformation of the fertilizer industry from simple product manufacturing to a "manufacturing+service" model. At the same time, it is adapting to the needs of modern economic and social development and is starting the transformation of fertilizers to a new model of "service+product".
At present, there are problems in China's composite fertilizer industry, such as excessive secondary processing proportion, environmental pressure on ammonium phosphate production, and insufficient production of nitrate phosphate fertilizer. He believes that the future transformation and development of fertilizer production technology towards green and high-quality is an inevitable trend. At present, fertilizers have enormous potential for energy conservation and emission reduction from both production and application perspectives. It is necessary to continuously innovate under the promotion of industry associations, and promote the accelerated implementation of fertilizer products and production methods that are lower energy consumption, safer, environmentally friendly, and more efficient, and can better meet the needs of agricultural production.
Regarding the future development trend of compound fertilizers, Chen Mingliang, Chief Engineer of the Fertilizer Institute of Shanghai Institute of Chemical Technology, analyzed that the structural adjustment of China's planting industry will inevitably lead to the adjustment of fertilizer structure. Compound fertilizer products will develop towards variety diversification and specialization, with high efficiency, low energy consumption, water conservation, and environmental friendliness becoming basic requirements. Specifically, in terms of process improvement, the fertilizer production process should pay more attention to energy conservation and emission reduction; In terms of product varieties, high-quality fertilizers that meet the needs of high-quality agriculture should be produced; In the application process, emphasis should be placed on improving fertilizer utilization efficiency to improve the quality of agricultural products.
Chen Mingliang also believes that the acceleration of land transfer and changes in agricultural production organizational forms will bring challenges to the existing production and distribution models of compound fertilizers, and major customer customization and professional services will be the development trend.
