Polypropylene foreign trade market withstands pressure, overall situation better than expected
1、 Export
The export volume of PP particles in the initial stage of the month was 111700 tons, an increase of 37.06% month on month and 175.8% year on year; The export volume of ethylene propylene polymer is 10500 tons, which is at the same level as the same month on month; The export volume of other primary shaped propylene copolymers was 2400 tons, a decrease of 19.39% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 20%. In September, the PP export data increased significantly, and the "the Belt and Road" went deep and steadily, which played a key role, followed by the recovery of foreign trade demand of "Jinjiu". In the later stage, with the effectiveness of various practical measures to stabilize foreign trade, export data is expected to continue to consolidate the positive momentum.
From the perspective of major exporting countries, Vietnam remains China's largest trading partner in exports, with an export volume of 18300 tons that month, ranking first; India remains in second place, despite significant inflationary pressures, strong demand has driven the confidence index. In the same month, China's export volume to India increased by 60.78%, accounting for 13.16% from 10.86%; Ranked third is Bangladesh, with a significant increase of 83.33% in export volume, accounting for 8.83% from 6.39%.
In September, the biggest highlight in export trade statistics was the significant increase in general trade as the main trade method, with a significant increase in export volume of 26100 tons to 102500 tons, accounting for 82.26% of the total; Secondly, logistics goods and import processing trade in customs special supervision areas increased by 4900 tons and 0700 tons, respectively, accounting for 11.56% and 4.01%. Other goods such as incoming material processing trade, border small trade, and inbound and outbound goods under bonded supervision have seen a slight decline in exports.
2、 Import
The import volume of PP particles in the initial stage of the month was 213000 tons, a decrease of 1.39% month on month and 34.50% year on year; The import volume of ethylene propylene polymer was 113200 tons, a decrease of 9.51% month on month and 27.06% year-on-year; The import volume of propylene copolymers in other primary shapes was 11100 tons, a decrease of 11.20% month on month and a year-on-year increase of 12.12%. Although the import volume has decreased compared to the previous month, it cannot be ignored that with the continuous accumulation of policy effects, positive factors in economic operation have increased. In September, the Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) reached 50.20%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points compared to the previous month. After 5 months, it returned to the expansion range and reached a new high in nearly 6 months.
The main import source countries in September were basically the same as last month, and South Korea remains China's largest import trading partner. The import volume increased by 5% that month, accounting for 20.55%; The second is the United Arab Emirates and Taiwan, China of China. The import volume to China in that month was 55200 tons and 46000 tons respectively, accounting for 16.37% and 13.64% respectively.
General trade is still the mainstream mode of trade, and although the import volume dropped to 232600 tons in September, the proportion is still much higher than other modes; Secondly, the import processing trade remained unchanged from last month, accounting for 17.73%, with an import volume of 59800 tons. The third is logistics goods in customs special supervision areas, with a month on month increase of 7.98%, accounting for 12.04% of the total import volume.
