Encourage the procurement of local components, and Europe's photovoltaic manufacturing industry can steadily grow
The European Photovoltaic Industry Association has called for multiple measures to protect the European photovoltaic industry, but has refused to consider tariffs or trade barriers as a solution to current challenges. At a recent quarterly meeting held in Brussels, Belgium, members of the Board of Directors of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association issued a joint statement discussing the current market dynamics in the artillery, describing it as a "perfect storm" caused by excessive demand, leading to a decline in the prices of photovoltaic and other system components.
The board proposed three solutions: firstly, it suggests that the EU should adjust the aid rules in the Temporary Crisis Framework (TCTF) to allow support for the operating costs of manufacturing factories in EU member states.
Secondly, they call for the creation of demand for European photovoltaic products, which can be achieved through the European "flexible auction" under the EU's "Net Zero Industries Act".
Finally, this statement calls for the establishment of a financing tool for the European photovoltaic industry and proposes the creation of a "photovoltaic manufacturing bank" to provide cost-effective financing.
The European Photovoltaic Industry Association emphasizes that with the correct political will, these measures can be quickly launched. However, the association explicitly opposes the imposition of tariffs, stating that trade barriers will hinder expansion and lead to a win-win situation.
Director of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association Gunter Erfur, CEO of Meyer Burger, a photovoltaic module manufacturer, stated: Imposing tariffs is not a good solution to the current challenges of the European photovoltaic industry. There are better and faster tools for the development of European photovoltaic production. We should not sanction the entire photovoltaic industry through tariffs, but must encourage the procurement of domestically produced photovoltaic components in Europe. This way, photovoltaic systems can continue to be deployed without interference, while the European photovoltaic manufacturing industry can steadily grow. In the coming weeks, the EU has the opportunity to include in its plans The basic principles of implementing this flexible system in the Net Zero Industry Act
Aristotelis Chantavas, President of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association, stated that setting trade barriers may not be the most effective method. On the contrary, he urged the EU to use the US Inflation Reduction Act as an example when formulating its industrial strategy. According to this plan, the US government has provided approximately $400 billion (380 billion euros) in investment incentives for various emerging industries. The energy sector, including the photovoltaic industry, has received $250 billion in incentives to encourage more investment and establish photovoltaic module manufacturing factories across the United States.
JIN DUN CHEMICAL has built a special (meth) acrylic monomer manufacturing base in ZHEJIANG province. This makes sure the stable supply of HEMA, HPMA, HEA, HPA, GMA with high level quality. Our special acrylate monomers are widely used for thermosetting acrylic resins, crosslinkable emulsion polymers, acrylate anaerobic adhesive, two-component acrylate adhesive, solvent acrylate adhesive, emulsion acrylate adhesive, paper finishing agent and painting acrylic resins in adhesive. We have also developed the new and special (meth) acrylic monomers and derivatives. Such as the fluorinated acrylate monomers, It can be widely used in coating leveling agent, paints, inks, photosensitive resins, optical materials, fiber treatment, modifier for plastic or rubber field. We are aiming to be the top supplier in the field of special acrylate monomers, to share our rich experience with better quality products and professional service.
