Description
Ammonium chloride (referred to as "ammonium chloride", also known as halogen sand) is a colorless cubic crystal or white crystalline powder. The taste is salty, cool and slightly bitter, sour salt. The relative density is 1.527. Soluble in water and ethanol, soluble in liquid ammonia, insoluble in acetone and ether. The aqueous solution is weakly acidic, and the acidity increases when heated.
Ammonium chloride is a quick-acting nitrogen chemical fertilizer with a nitrogen content of 24% to 25%, which is a
physiologically acidic fertilizer. It is suitable for wheat, rice, corn, rapeseed and other crops, especially for cotton and
linen crops, it has the effect of enhancing fiber toughness and tension and improving quality. Ammonium chloride is
used in paddy fields, and its fertilizer effect can exceed ammonium sulfate.
