Description

The pure product is white crystal. m.p.124 ～ 125℃ , vapor pressure <10×10-6Pa) (60℃ ). Easily soluble in organic solvents, insoluble in water, stable to acids. The industrial product is white to light yellow crystal, with a melting point of 121-124° C.

Indole butyric acid (IBA), a broad-spectrum indole plant growth regulator, is a good rooting agent that promotes rooting of herbaceous and woody ornamental cuttings. It can also be used for fruit setting of melons and fruits to increase the fruit setting rate.
