According to relevant statistical data, as of the end of 2022, the total installed capacity of electricity in China has reached 2.56 billion kilowatts, with clean energy accounting for 50% of the total installed capacity. In the total investment of new energy projects in the world, China accounts for over 30% of the investment, with hydropower, wind power, photovoltaic, and nuclear power under construction all maintaining the world's largest scale. Several attendees mentioned that with the development of the global new energy industry, the clean energy equipment industry, as the forefront of the industry, has great potential. Industry experts predict that by the end of the 14th Five Year Plan, China's total energy installed capacity will reach 3.02 billion kilowatts, with an increase of 810 million kilowatts. Among them, the total clean energy installed capacity will increase by over 700 million kilowatts, driving a demand increase of over 2 trillion yuan in the clean energy equipment market.
To achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality, energy and electricity are the main battlefield, and technological equipment is an important support. In the view of Shu Yinbiao, Chairman of the International Electrotechnical Commission, the transformation of energy and electricity will take the path of cleaning, electrification, digitization, and standardization, and achieve clean substitution on the energy production side, in order to establish a clean energy supply system with multiple complementary capabilities.
During his keynote speech, Yu Peigen, Chairman of Dongfang Electric Group, stated that the energy system and development model are currently entering a new stage dominated by non fossil fuels, which brings both opportunities and challenges to the development of energy equipment.

Energy equipment enterprises should fully leverage the leading role of technological innovation, continuously improve the technological level of energy equipment, promote the deep integration of innovation chain, industry chain, capital chain, and talent chain, accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements into real productivity, and use innovation to promote new breakthroughs in clean energy equipment.
Opportunities bring challenges. Faced with the possibility of achieving high growth, how to accelerate the transformation and upgrading of traditional energy equipment while actively exploring new fields and spaces for energy equipment development will become the key for many equipment enterprises to effectively unleash the "new" momentum.
Faced with this topic, Yu Peigen proposed four suggestions around "adhering to the direction of green and low-carbon development", "accelerating the pace of technological innovation", "promoting the integration of industry digitization and intelligence", and "strengthening open and collaborative development". Taking the promotion of industrial digitization and intelligent integration as an example, Yu Peigen suggests that energy equipment enterprises fully apply information technology to promote industrial optimization and upgrading, strengthen digital empowerment, promote intelligent manufacturing, create smart products, and further enhance the development level of energy equipment.

The development of the industry must require the concerted efforts of industry colleagues and researchers, and at the same time, enterprises should cooperate more to achieve win-win situations through cooperation.
