Bohai oil field: wellbore chemical viscosity reduction 40 days to increase oil over a thousand square

    Recently, after nearly 40 days of chemical viscosity reduction operation in the wellbore, two wells, A20H and A24H, in Brigada 5-2 North Oilfield, have accumulated more than 1,000 square meters of oil.
    Luta 5-2 North Oilfield is an extra ultra-thick oil field, with poor mobility and difficult extraction of crude oil from the formation. At present, steam throughput thermal recovery process is used for production, in which high-temperature and high-pressure steam is injected into the formation through a special tubing column to heat the oil layer around the well, and the viscosity of thick oil is reduced and thinned after heat exchange in the stoker well, and the crude oil is extracted from the wellbore through a jet pump. At the end of the formation heat injection, with the extension of the production cycle, the temperature of the crude oil entering the wellbore gradually decreases and the fluidity becomes poor, which affects the pumping efficiency of the jet pump and makes the crude oil production low.
    To improve well production, technicians combined steam injection thermal recovery with chemical cold recovery process and launched a wellbore chemical viscosity reduction initiative. The chemical viscosity-reducing agent is injected into the well to react with the crude oil in the wellbore, transforming the high-viscosity thick oil or oil-in-water emulsion into a low-viscosity water-in-oil emulsion and effectively increasing the fluidity of the crude oil. At the same time, the viscosity reducer solution forms a water film on the tubing wall, reducing the friction between the output fluid and the tubing wall, lowering the flow resistance and improving the production efficiency of the jet pump.
    The viscosity reducer has the characteristics of fast and high efficiency, and 24-hour drip injection only needs to prepare 2 parties of chemicals. After the chemical injection, the effect was very significant, and the two wells started to see the effect after 4 days. After continuous viscosity reduction operation for many days, the production status of the two wells was stable and the oil production was steadily increasing.
    The chemical viscosity reducing agent used this time is water-soluble viscosity reducing agent, does not change the structure of crude oil components, does not affect the oil and water treatment process, effectively cracking the problem of high viscosity of the output fluid in the wellbore affects lifting, has good promotion value.

    This is the first time to implement chemical viscosity reduction in Bohai oilfield, and also the first application of thick oil hot recovery and chemical cold recovery process, which has accumulated experience for chemical viscosity reduction in China's offshore oil wellbore.
